Chapter 9 Summary:

After reading chapter 9 I was surprised to see e-commerce concepts like the distinctions between B2B and C2C models. These concepts were first introduced to me in my bachelors degree from Wilkes, so it was nice to see them again. I was also intrigued by the concept of clickstream analysis, this was a concept I was not familiar with before. Apparently it shows how web servers can record user behavior to improve functionality. This connection between user data and security practices is something that was heavily emphasized in my studies for the CompTIA exam. The importance of safeguarding personal information while maintaining availability are two major components of the CIA triad. Another topic I found interesting in this chapter was Near Field Communication (NFC). Overall, this chapter reinforced my understanding of e-commerce and its implications for cybersecurity. The need for evolving security measures in response to evolving cyber threats is crucial, which is why I will continue my studies by seeking the CySA+ certification.
