Chapter 7 Summary:
During my CompTIA Security+ studies, I learned the basics of cybersecurity, like how to identify certain malware attacks and also how to go about mitigating the risk for those attacks and then also how to react to certain malware attacks once they've occurred. I also got familiar with tools used to keep systems safe and learned about security policies and rules that organizations need to follow to stay protected, like PCI DSS for example. Having this knowledge makes me really enjoy reading this chapter because it reinforces the things that I've learned so far. Something new that I learned about in this chapter is MiFi, which is a small device that creates a portable Wi-Fi hotspot using a cellular signal. This means you can connect devices like your phone, laptop, or tablet to the internet, even if you're not near a regular Wi-Fi network. This is new to me, and it can be really helpful in my personal life, especially when I'm traveling or somewhere without good internet access. Having a MiFi would make it easier for me to stay connected and get things done, like studying or playing online games, no matter where I am.
